Responsibilities

  • Read and respond to customer emails and phone messages
  • Troubleshoots faulty equipment and applies knowledge of functional operation of electronic units and systems to diagnose cause of malfunction
  • Estimate repairs and communicate estimate with customers
  • Replaces defective components and wiring
  • Validate repaired unit using testing tools
  • Finalize repair in computer database and fully documenting repair
  • Maintain 5S standards (sort, straighten, shine, standardize and sustain)
  • May be required to work overtime, holidays, and/or weekends as requested by the Service Manager

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented; high-level attention to detail in all tasks
  • Thorough knowledge of IPC-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies) standards. IPC certification(s) preferred.
  • Electronic repair skills including soldering.
  • Computer proficiency in a complex ERP system.
  • Excellent problem solving skills related to digital circuits and communication interfaces
  • Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems
  • Committed to high quality customer service

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED, two year associate degree or comparable experience preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years combined experience as an Electronic Assembly Inspector, Mechanical Inspector or electronics manufacturing

Team Player
